What to expect when visiting leahey farm
In order to have the best experience possible we want to make you aware of what your child should bring and what to expect.
ARRIVAL
Our farm is at the end of Reservoir Rd. in Lee, off of East Street at the Lenox Dale end. Follow Reservoir Rd. to the end (about ⅓ mile) and there will be a big red barn to the right. Our farm is also home to two other businesses, and a right of way for the town of Lee’s water treatment plant. Thus our road is a busy place. For safety, please be aware of this when driving up and down the hill.
DROP OFF & PICK UP
Please park in the circular driveway on the left side of the road, which is 189 Reservoir Rd. The barn will be on your right. You may also park on the grass on the right side of the road. We will be present to greet your child.

We are a rain/shine/hot and steamy/cold and frost program. Please send your child with weather ready outerwear for the day. We have a classroom space for seriously inclement weather, but plan on being out as much as possible
LIFE CAN BE INTERESTING. AND MESSY….OR...MANURE HAPPENS!
Please be aware that our programs take place on a real working dairy farm and out in the real working natural world. In the real world living things do their thing. Animals do a lot of interesting things. Among other behaviors, they eat, they excrete, they reproduce and sometimes they become ill or injured.
Even with daily cleaning, animal poop is a given around the barn and farm. We also maintain a bull and a breeding herd of cows.
Our philosophy is to allow for any and all questions children may have regarding these realities, without overemphasizing them. If you have preferences or concerns for how these topics are handled with your child please let us know.
